Naval Air Station Patuxent River Awarded $25 Million In MILCON Funding Secured By Congressman Anthony G. Brown
WASHINGTON, DC - Congressman Anthony G. Brown (MD-04) released the following statement on the Navy’s decision to allocate $25,038,000 for military construction projects at Naval Air Station Patuxent River in Patuxent River, Maryland. Congressman Brown fought for this funding in the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).
“I am pleased the Navy awarded over $25 million in funding for military construction projects at Naval Air Station Patuxent River,” said Congressman Brown. “Pax River and the state of Maryland play a valuable role in the Department of Defense’s research and development and testing and evaluation missions -- we are the tip of the spear when it comes to preparing DOD and our warfighters for the conflicts of the future. I will continue to fight for Maryland's installations as a member of the House Armed Services Committee.”
The awarded funding will be used to build needed improvements at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, including an Instrument Landing System, the 4.0 Engineering Support LRP, the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division and Corporate Operations Facility, the Airborne Electronic Attack System Facility, and the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Product Center.
