Support for Syria strikes among Maryland delegation, questions about long-term strategy

Rep. Anthony G. Brown of Prince George's County picked up on an argument gaining momentum among Democrats: If the situation in Syria is bad enough to warrant airstrikes, why shouldn't the U.S. accept more refugees from that country? 

"Moving forward, the United States must work with our international partners to end this conflict and humanitarian crisis," Brown said in a statement. "We must not forsake the suffering of the Syrian people and should open our doors to welcome those in need."
