Trump Should Be Removed From Office With All Deliberate Speed

We must stop a President who is willing to abuse his power and violate the law with impunity

Washington, September 24, 2019
Trump putting his personal interests above our nation’s is a betrayal of his oath of office and an impeachable act - and warrants his removal from office with all deliberate speed

Congressman Anthony Brown (MD-04), Vice Chair of the House Armed Services Committee and 30-year combat veteran, released the following statement:

“It appears that President Trump extorted a foreign leader to aid his reelection. Donald Trump must be impeached and the House of Representatives should vote immediately to begin impeachment proceedings or consider articles of impeachment. We must stop this President who is willing to abuse his power and violate the law with impunity.

“Trump suspended the delivery of almost $400 million in military aid to Ukraine - a country actively fighting Russian aggression - to coerce a foreign government into helping him defeat a political opponent.

“It is outrageous that the President of the United States would exploit national security policy for personal political gain and then illegally obstruct Congress from exercising our constitutional duty. The President’s corruption knows no bounds, and it is time to end this Administration’s politically orchestrated defiance of the rule of law. Trump putting his personal interests above our nation’s is a betrayal of his oath of office and an impeachable act - and warrants his removal from office with all deliberate speed.”
